## Why it lasted
- It named the dominant server of the first web, and shared hosting never fully left.
- The Foundation is bigger than the daemon. That institution keeps the lights on.

## Near deaths
- nginx took the cool and the perf. Apache stayed on the panel.

## What would finish it
- cPanel-class hosts moving the default. Slow demographic death, not a crash.
