- It is a bearer asset with a fixed schedule and no CEO to subpoena into a pivot.
- Every 'Bitcoin is dead' headline became a timestamp on the chart.
- ETFs and nation-state holders made the joke into a row on a balance sheet.

## Near deaths
- Mt. Gox, China bans, the 2018 winter, FTX's gravity. The chain kept producing blocks.

## What would finish it
- A consensus failure, a cryptography break, or a coordinated ban of on-ramps that actually sticks. High drama, low base rate so far.
