## Why it lasted
- It made issue tracking feel like a product instead of a database with workflow.
- Taste as a moat: keyboard, speed, the way a status looks.
- The teams that switched from Jira do not want to go back, which is the whole sales motion.

## Near deaths
- Jira cannot die (see Jira). Linear does not need it to. It needs the slice of companies that care.

## What would finish it
- Atlassian shipping something with the same feel, plus Linear becoming the bloated thing it replaced. Watch the feature list.
