- If you need a cache, a queue, or a counter, you reach for it without a meeting.
- The data structures are the product. Everything else is a license argument.

## Near deaths
- The 2024 license change and Valkey fork. The noun 'redis' survived the company drama the way 'xerox' survived Xerox.

## What would finish it
- Valkey (or a cloud default) fully taking the name in docs and job posts. Possible. The clock is still running.
