David Karp, 2007. Still a dashboard. The cultural peak is a timestamp.

## Why it lasted
- Fandom, collage, and a posting style that did not survive other feeds intact.
- Automattic bought it. WordPress people might yet be decent stewards.

## Near deaths
- The 2018 porn ban gutted the graph. Yahoo/Verizon years were neglect. It should be dead. It is not.

## What would finish it
- Automattic treating it as a side quest, plus the remaining posters aging out without replacements.
